Why Rockhaven Alaska?

At Rockhaven we book your group exclusively for parties between 2 and 8 people. We feel that if privacy is important to you, than it’s important to us.

Our location provides you with fantastic views of numerous islands dotting Coffman Cove, Alaska. Looking past the islands is Clarence Straights, which is part of the famed Inside Passage that stretches from British Columbia north past Glacier Bay. On a clear day looking across Clarence Strait one can see the mountains on Etolin Island draped in the cover of forest. One thing for sure, whether you choose to sit out on the deck or inside on the sofa, you will experience a quiet and serine setting to enjoy the pleasures Southeast Alaska has to offer.

Enjoy the cozy comforts of our accommodations. We have three lovely bedrooms with one spacious bathroom. If solitude is what you seek, we have a one bedroom unit adjacent to the main house that provides bath, kitchenette, and living room. The views out every window are magnificent. One of the things we strive for most while you’re here is to keep you well fed. We provide our guests with a wholesome meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Here at Rockhaven, experience life “off the grid” in the last frontier. Most of our power is generated from our solar panels, and on those rainy days, we supplement using the generator.

There are a surprising number of lodge owners here in Alaska that actually reside elsewhere, they come up here for only a few months out of the year and then return to their homes out of state. We feel it is important for people coming here to support the local economy by choosing to do business with actual residents of the state.

One of the benefits to our area is that it takes less than an hour to get here from Ketchikan by float plane.

Our guests have come as strangers, and depart as friends.
